Gotta love the old runner sleds. Wax up the runners and you just fly down the hill. Best of all you can steer and you fly past your friends on those new fangled sleds. Man, with a thin layer of ice to top off the snow you feel like you're going to give off a sonic boom. Only one draw back. You have to have a firm trail. That's where the plastic sled comes in.
These babies are great on fluffy snow. You can putter down the hill while the runners are stuck at the top unable to move an inch. Plastic sleds are the trail blazers. Boldly going where no sled has gone before. Kinda like the brave guy with a machete hacking his way through the jungle. The snow jungle.
Winner? You. If you have one of each.
