Forget wasting a trip downtown just to find the library doesn't have the book you want. Check online before you guzzle that gas. Hey, and if you like to avoid the downtown riffraff you can use one of the other locations. There's even a branch in Bergton.
Have you been to a library lately?

Bergton is CLOSED today because of heating issues. But, no, I haven't been to a library in about 2 years. Maybe it's time to stop and see David Miller at You Made It...i've only promised about 2 years ago...man time flies...
ReplyDeleteEven better, place that book on HOLD, and request to pick it up from your neighborhood branch and they will CALL YOU when it comes in.
ReplyDeleteAlternatively, if you are on the way there anyway, still put it on hold so that no one else snatches it from the shelf before you get there!
Gotta jump in on this one. I have recently started using the North River Branch in Bridgwater. It works out great since we are in B'water every Monday for music lessons and the library is opening just as they are done.
ReplyDeletePyrotechny, are you saying that if the book is at the main branch, you can put it on hold and they will deliver it to the branch you like to use? Is there a charge for this?
I have noticed that some of the books I want are listed at the main library, but there is no copy in North River.
No charge, but it takes a few days...
ReplyDeleteHonest American -- does "man time" fly faster than "woman time?"
The Mass Regional ordered in a new book for me, hardback! Then they called me when it came in. I'm so stoked to read The Inheritance, the legacy/nightmare Bush left for Obama. Frank, I challenge you to a fact finding mission :)
ReplyDeleteJust in case anyone here is being notified of follow-up comments on this thread, I thought I'd let you all know in case you didn't already that updatedwaytoomuch is a parody site that started out by rudely making fun of, and is now directly copying, Jeremy's updatedallthetime.com
ReplyDeleteJust spreading the word since apparently some people were bamboozled by the slick 'cats here.
Nothing rude at all about this post.
ReplyDeleteIt's a topic people are interested in. That's why there are comments.
