From a faithful reader: Do you wear boots when the snowfall is only 4 inches, or do you soak your shoes? Don't you hate wet sock?

Fantastic question and I'm glad you asked. I have this neat little trick I use when it snows. I take old Walmart bags and recycle them by putting them over my shoes and using a rubber band to hold them in place. All that grimy grey slush doesn't stand a chance against my polyethylene forcefield. This bag trick works equally well with Food Lion bags as well as Target bags. Just be careful, plastic sleds might not zoom like a rocket on a hill but plastic covered sneakers sure do move like lightning when you least expect them to. And yup, I hat wet socks. Those are worse than wet shoes.
