Check your tires

Driving on tires with inadequate tread is not only illegal, it's also dangerous. Check out this site that offers great advice about how to check your tread depth using a penny and a quarter. It even has pictures

    Also people, check the rear tires on your front wheel drive. With the temps so cold, the rear tires lose pressure because they do not heat up like the front drive wheels. Last night the rear tires were at 13 and 15 PSI. Fronts were ok but the rear were low and you can't tell unless you got "junk in your trunk"...

    Thanks for the reminder. I always forget about tire pressure. I'll check it next time I stop for gas.
